- 2 small hot dog buns split open lengthwise
- 2 tablespoons salted butter or margarine softened
- 1 clove minced garlic or two cloves roasted garlic see Note 1
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 scallion or sprig of parsley or chives
Use a microwave to soften 2 tablespoons salted butter or margarine. Mix in 1 clove minced garlic or two cloves roasted garlic, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 scallion or sprig of parsley or chives.
Spread the garlic butter mixture over the face side of 2 small hot dog buns.
Air fry at 375 °F for 2 to 3 minutes. (No need to preheat the air fryer; put the bread slices into the air fryer basket and then turn it on—it will take around 3 to 4 minutes to preheat.) Or broil in the oven at 400 °F for 2 minutes.
- If you don’t have fresh garlic or roasted garlic on hand, I suggest substituting 4 tablespoon of my Papa John’s Copycat Garlic Sauce recipe in place of the butter and minced garlic in this recipe.
